|Job ID 69496|Posted Feb 26, 2025Our client is seeking a dynamic and passionate Assistant Designer to join their team. This individual will play a crucial role in creating commercially viable product designs across collections, reflecting the brand's unique style and business strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the design team in creating brand-right, commercial designs that align with the overall concept and business strategy
Deliver design sketches/prototypes and provide clear specifications for construction
Prepare the design team for routine and milestone meetings, including the coordination of line presentation boards and product samples
Communicate ongoing development details to internal partners and vendors
Partner with technical design on fit and execution of prototypes
Track and organize development samples, ensuring timely delivery
Adapt designs based on feedback and apply processes to understand and anticipate customer needs
Stay up-to-date on competitor research and trend analysis
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with some design experience in a comparable retail environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign is required, and experience with Centric is a plus. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, a customer service philosophy, and a team-oriented approach. They will be highly motivated, results-oriented, and flexible, with a solid understanding of construction instructions and a keen eye for commercial fashion and product styling.
