JOB SUMMARY:
This role is responsible to help guide and advance the email execution process by focusing on strategy, design, and execution of email marketing. This person will be active in designing and implementing email campaign efforts and supporting company protocol for email compliance.
 
This position will work closely with (1) Business Marketing teams, which act as strategic partners and focus on content and campaign objectives, (2) other Email Specialists & Designers, (3) Developers & Platform Team, (4) Partners and Vendors that may be involved with email strategy and design, and (5) occasionally interact with web, paid media, and social marketing.
 
We seek a highly organized and detail-oriented Email Marketing Specialist with a passion for crafting compelling content, a strong understanding of email marketing best practices, and a knack for project management. As an integral member of our marketing team, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and analyzing email marketing campaigns that drive engagement, generate leads, nurture customer relationships, and drive Ecommerce sales. Your expertise in project management will ensure that campaigns are delivered on time, while your design skills will contribute to creating visually appealing and engaging email content, in line with brand standards. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Plan, manage, and track email marketing campaigns from conception to execution with marketing team collaboration.
  • Take a creative brief and turn it into a fully designed email layout optimized for the mobile experience and adhering to brand standards (including copywriting/editing as needed).
  • Understand and build subscriber segments across multiple data sets to ensure targeted messaging and maximize campaign effectiveness to business goals.
  • Maintain standardized processes for complete end-to-end testing for each email, including display testing and dynamic content (verifying creative and/or content versioning for different audiences).
  • Advocate for email best practices to maximize deliverability, inbox placement, accessibility, and engagement.
  • Partner with analytics team for reporting and performance readouts.

REQUIREMENTS
  • 4-year degree in Marketing, Communications, Web design/Development, or other related areas of study, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong understanding of email marketing principles, including email design, copywriting, and segmentation (SQL experience a plus).
  • Proven track record of success in developing, executing, and measuring email marketing campaigns that drive results.
  • Proficient in email design software – Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Xd, Illustrator) and Figma preferred. Ability to resize images, create animated gifs, design within artboards, etc. High-level understanding of how HTML and CSS development influences email design.
  • Experience with an enterprise-level email service provider (ESP) – Salesforce Marketing Cloud (ExactTarget) preferred (Einstein, A/B testing, and AMPscript experience all a plus).
  • Experience with project management software – Jira preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to meet agreed-upon timelines and deliverables. Ability to work independently and as part of multiple teams. Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and strategically for a variety of use cases.
