Our client is seeking a dedicated Development Engineer to join their dynamic team. This is a hybrid role, with an onsite requirement at our client's location. Local candidates are preferred.
 

As a Development Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and testing code to deliver functionality that aligns with the overall business strategy and objectives. You will work closely with other team members to ensure that features meet business needs, following industry-standard agile software design methodology for development and documentation.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and test code to implement features from the product backlog

• Size user stories and execute necessary project documentation

• Unit test code, create automated test scripts, and execute all other testing-related tasks

• Test deliverables against a user story's acceptance tests

• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and other partners
   

Required Professional Experience and Skills:

• 3-5 years in an engineering role

• 1-3 years participating in agile development

• Experience with test-driven development and software test automation

• Deep experience working in an agile environment (e.g. user stories, iterative development, etc.)

• Extensive experience working with Mainframe (MF) technologies such as Cobol, DB2, JCL, CICS, VSAM, and GDG files
   

Preferred Skills:

• Scrum certification

• Experience with MQ, CoolGen, and Easytrieve
