JOB DESCRIPTION

As a member of our Experience Team, you’ll shape how customers engage with our multi-billion- dollar portfolio of global brands.
Our client is looking for a UX Principal to join the Design Systems team. In this role, you will be a mentor, strategic thinker, facilitator, and master of craft. You will work alongside the Design System UX Manager to drive consistency and polish across our multi-brand, cross-platform Fabric Design System, independently partnering with product designers, brand representatives, and a cross-functional team in a fast-paced Agile environment. You’ll spend time facilitating productive alignment conversations and delivering assets that enable teams to work quickly and efficiently to achieve both brand expressiveness and consistency across a range of digital products. You have excellent communication, interaction and visual design skills and can clearly express design thinking and rationale, leading and influencing during complex design discussions with partners and leaders.

Experience with retail, e-commerce, transactional, rewards or loyalty programs, and design systems is a plus. A passion for fantastic customer experience and empathy is a must.

Ownership & Accountability:
o Take ownership of the overall user experience strategy and ensure alignment with business
goals.

o Drive the execution of UX projects from concept to delivery, ensuring high-quality outcomes that resonate with customers.
o Act as the ultimate advocate for user-centered design principles for your organization.
? Coaching & Skill Development:
o Mentor and coach the UX team, fostering their growth and development.
o Identify skill gaps and implement training programs to enhance the team's capabilities. o Provide constructive feedback to team members to drive continuous improvement.
? Collaboration & Conflict Resolution:
o Foster a culture of collaboration between UX designers, developers, product managers, and
other stakeholders.
o Mediate and resolve conflicts effectively to ensure smooth project workflows and positive team
dynamics.
? Communication & Presentation:
o Clearly communicate design concepts, rationale, and user insights to cross-functional teams and leadership.
o Present design strategies and solutions to stakeholders, advocating for the user's perspective.
? Enterprise Application Knowledge:
o Leverage your understanding of transactional and data-supporting applications to create seamless and user-friendly experiences that meet the needs of our diverse customer base.
? Planning & Structuring Work:
o Develop project plans, allocate resources, and set clear milestones to ensure timely and
successful delivery.
o Structure work processes for optimal efficiency, considering team strengths and project
requirements.
? Problem Scoping and Solving:
o Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scopes and objectives, ensuring alignment with business priorities and user needs.
o Identify potential issues early and implement proactive solutions to mitigate project risks.
o Approach challenges with a solution-oriented mindset, leveraging your problem-solving skills.
? Stakeholder Management:
o Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring their input is considered in the UX design process.
? Team Utilization:
o Optimize team resources and assign tasks according to individual strengths, ensuring maximum
efficiency and productivity.
? UX Strategy & Vision:
o Develop and communicate a clear UX strategy aligning with the program vision and audience expectations.
o Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to drive innovation in UX design. ? Driving Great Work:
o Inspire the team to consistently deliver high-quality, innovative, and impactful user experiences.
o Set a standard of excellence in UX design and champion the importance of user-centric thinking.

• Education in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
• Proven experience (10+ years) in UX design and (3+ years) people management roles.
• Experience building, managing, contributing to, and maintaining a complex design system, in both Figma and code; bonus for experience building a system from the ground up and socializing adoption with partners.
• Strong portfolio showcasing your expertise in designing and delivering exceptional user experiences.
• Maintains the ability to be a player/coach, jumping in hands-on when needed to provide hands-on
directional guidance to the team or support alongside the design team when needed.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, etc.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Deep understanding of UX research methodologies and their application in the design process.
• Familiarity with Agile and Lean methodologies.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

This is not a guarantee of compensation, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
