JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client is seeking an Agile Project Manager/Scrum Master to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the team embodies agile values and principles, and adheres to the processes and practices agreed upon. The successful candidate will be instrumental in transforming requirements into working software, tracking progress, and assisting the team in achieving their commitments and goals.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide and coach the Scrum Team on Agile practices and principles to deliver high-quality products and services

  • Foster a high-performing team environment through recognizing strengths and areas for improvement, and employing appropriate coaching and development techniques

  • Ensure adherence to Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines

  • Facilitate effective internal and external communication, promoting transparency and collaboration

  • Resolve team impediments and limit external interference

  • Collaborate with Agile coaches and other Scrum Masters to grow within the role and contribute to the advancement of Agile practices within the organization

  • Facilitate and support all scrum events, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective

  • Assess the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization, coaching towards higher levels of maturity

  • Ensure product quality expectations are defined and known across the team

  • Manage and report the status of scope, schedule, resourcing, and financials
     

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of program and project management principles and methods

  • Proficiency in using appropriate tools, such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Visio, ServiceNow, and all MS Office Tools

  • Understanding of financial controls needed in project management and consulting work

  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle models

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills

  • First level PM and Scrum Master certification PMI-PMP, (CSM ) (PSM), PMI-ACP
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 7 years of product/project development experience on an Agile Team

  • Lean Six Sigma certification

  • Second or Third level Scrum Master certification (A-CSM, PSM II, PSM III, CSP, CTC)

  • CSPO or equivalent

  • Track record of continued and recent education in Project/Program Management and Agile/Scrum
