Are you a skilled telecom/wireless professional with a passion for monitoring and troubleshooting complex network infrastructure? Join our dynamic team as a Network Surveillance Engineer and play a crucial role in supporting our 24/7 Network Operations Center.
In this position, you will be responsible for end-to-end monitoring of our network and transport equipment, as well as utilizing observability tools to identify and address service and system issues. Your primary duties will include:
- Incident identification, ticket logging, and impact assessment using the ServiceNow ticketing system
- Initial troubleshooting and support for 5G cell site incidents, escalating complex issues to the Fault Isolation & Management team
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including RF, Deployment & Integration, Tech Dev, Core, Cloud Infrastructure, Network Engineering, and Market teams
- Maintaining high levels of network availability and uptime, adhering to agreed-upon KPIs and SLAs
- Effective prioritization and management of the incident backlog
- Providing detailed technical documentation and troubleshooting procedures
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of telecom/wireless experience, with a strong understanding of 5G functional components and network architectures
- Proficiency in network protocols such as IS-IS, BGP, MPLS, BFD, GNSS, PTP, and CEF
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships both internally and externally
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a keen interest in learning new technologies
