Director of UX
Requirements:
  • 3+ years as UX Manager or Team Lead w/ 10+ years overall UX design experience
  • Client facing agency experience is highly desired
  • Figma, Adobe CC, Miro, etc...
  • Experience with user research, testing, planning
  • Portfolio

Role and Responsibilities

    • Deft familiarity and expertise in UX activities and deliverables including experience strategy, workshop facilitation, customer journeys, personas, information architecture, sitemaps, user and process flows, wireframes, design systems, user testing, experience and accessibility audits, and synthesis of research findings.
    • Generate, facilitate, and oversee UX activities and deliverables
    • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional leadership teams to identify opportunities to drive business outcomes
    • Contribute to the establishment of UX standards, deliverables, and methodologies within the organization
    • Act as a leader and mentor in project work: create high-quality deliverables, facilitate client discussions and workshops, lead critiques, and coach project team.
    • Support project managers to plan experience design & research activities and deliverables within a project
    • Ability to articulate the business value of Experience Design to any audience and stay informed of Experience Design best practices, trends, and tools
    • Collaborate within multi-disciplinary teams to create innovative, best-in-class, customer-centric solutions
    • Ability to balance several initiatives simultaneously
    • Occasionally supports business development through estimation, solutioning, and high level staffing plans
    • Is a career coach for other XD team members to set and work towards career goals, and help identify training and development needs
    • Work with UX and XD leadership to lead, develop, and grow the UX team
    • Supports initiatives to up-skill our team in the craft and elevates the quality of our work
    • Supports practice development initiatives and team recruiting efforts
    • Contribute to our culture and atmosphere, quality of work, and growth into the next generation of user experience designers
    • Consistently works to elevate the quality of the team’s craft; raises the bar to inspire more junior talent
    • Participates and/or presents at industry conferences and events and within local UX communities
    • Contributes to thought leadership such as industry articles and blog posts

This is not a guarantee of compensation, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
